Celebrate Finnish Independence Day on 6th December. Our Afternoon Tea is inspired by the flavours, traditions and quiet beauty of Finland. Crafted entirely in-house and made from scratch, this menu brings together comforting savoury classics and festive Finnish sweets, served the Koivu way.
Savoury Nordic Bites
Your afternoon tea begins with our archipelago bread, a dark, malty Finnish loaf topped with a choice of silky mackerel pâté with fennel and apple, or a mushroom salad with caramelised onion cream.
Then try the traditional Karelian pastry, its thin rye crust cradling a creamy rice filling, finished with a generous spoon of egg butter.
Choose between two tarts, forest mushroom or hot-smoked salmon and dill, each baked in our homemade buttery quark pastry.
To finish the savoury tier, enjoy a portion of classic Finnish country cheese, lightly cubed and paired with bright, aromatic cloudberry jam.

A golden, buttery joulutorttu pastry topped with homemade prune jam
An iced gingerbread pig, a nostalgic seasonal favourite
A rich chocolate brownie studded with Moomin fudge pieces and topped with sweetened, velvety quark
All items will be baked fresh and chilled for delivery. The Karelian pastry and joulutorttu can be warmed gently for a couple of minutes in the oven. All other items are best eaten cold.
